About this puzzle
The hotel called it "complimentary breakfast." She called it "interplanetary exile." Either way, the croissants were stale, the coffee lukewarm, and the rescue ship was late. Again. She tried to distract herself with the human papers scattered at her feet- cryptic headlines about markets, politics, and scandals. But every article seemed to circle the same truth: no one here really knew what they were doing either. So she sipped the juice, poked at the strawberries, and watched the pool hold perfectly still. Maybe tomorrow the ship would arrive. She had all the time in the universe after all.
