About this puzzle
I want my viewers to feel unburdened when they look at my work. Perhaps they will remember what it was like to be a child on a summer day with nothing to do and nowhere to be, or whatever it is that soothes and slows their brains. Puzzles and art have this soothing and slowing effect in common. Modern life is a constant blitz of noise. I hope my art quiets the noise, and brings a moment of joy. Julia lives and works in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Gouldsboro, Maine.
