About this puzzle

Renoir is responsible for some of the most celebrated pieces of the early modernist canon. This painting depicts a typical Sunday at Moulin de la Galette in the Monmarte district of Paris, during the late 19th century. Here the French denizens would dress up, dance and drink in the dappled sunlight. This casual scene makes for a wonderfully relaxing puzzle, bathed in shade, shielding the subjects from the heat of the sun, it is difficult not to feel relaxed when piecing together this mottled puzzle painted by one of the masterpieces of early Impressionism. Artist: Pierre-Auguste Renoir
